How far along: 13 weeks and the size of a peach – about 3 inches long!
Gender: I’m still feeling girl, but Mike refers to the baby as “he” and “him”. He may be in for a rude awakening. 🙂
Maternity clothes: My clothes are getting tighter and more uncomfortable by the day. This week I’ve started the ponytail holder trick to wear my pants unbuttoned but keep them still held together (genius!). Also, I did break out the belly band last night after trying to squeeze into a pair of jeans that I couldn’t button after they mistakenly got tossed in the dryer by a sweet husband trying to help out his insanely tired wife.
Belly button in or out: In.
Sleep: Sleeping great… and constantly.
Best moment this week: Our 12 week appointment was definitely the highlight of our week. We got to hear that healthy heartbeat and finally let out a sigh of relief that we made it to the “safe zone”. That also meant that we were able to share the news with the rest of our families and friends. We couldn’t believe the outpouring of love that we got after sharing our wonderful secret we had been keeping! We have been on cloud 9 all week.
Miss anything: I know that I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but… energy, energy, energy! And being able to button my jeans every day. 🙂
Cravings: Apples smothered in nutella (heaven!), berries, fruit bars, sweet tea, baked potatoes, cheese.
Sickness/Symptoms: Only a few moments of slight nausea this week, but nothing terrible and it passes quickly. No other new symptoms – just a rapidly growing belly.
Baby Purchases/Gifts: We received our first gift for baby in the mail this week – an adorable UGA security blanket. Baby Mully will have SEVEN grandparents, so I think it’s safe to say this child will be very loved and spoiled rotten! We also bought a stuffed monkey that Mike picked out while we were out doing a little baby research today – it’s so soft and precious.
Looking forward to: Mike’s dad and stepmom (Ed & Trish) coming in town to visit this weekend. We will be dining at some fabulous Atlanta establishments before going to the Masters Practice Round on Monday. We will also have a lot of celebrating to do this weekend, too! Cant wait!!
