39 Weeks

39 weeks

How far along: 39 weeks and the size of a watermelon – about 20 inches long and possibly over 7 pounds (although I’m betting she’s under 7 lbs based on the birthweights of Mike and myself – we’ll see!).  Either way, I feel like I am definitely carrying around a watermelon these days, so this seems fitting!

Gender: Baby Girl

Sleep: I have been blessed with some decent sleep this week which I have not been taking for granted!  I slept in until after 9 both mornings this weekend, and I cherished every minute knowing that this could be the last time that happens – ever!  Haha!

Best moment this week: My good friend and coworker who is like a brother to me finally tied the knot Friday night, and I’m proud to say I was instrumental in setting these two lovebirds up on a blind date a little over a year ago.  They were married at a beautiful North Georgia winery and vineyard, and my sister flew in to photograph the wedding!  We had so much fun celebrating at the wedding and have enjoyed a much-needed slow weekend here at home spending time with Kat and preparing for Molly’s arrival.

39 weeks

Miss anything: Just being comfortable.  I’m getting to that point where I am just constantly uncomfortable, and it hurts to get up and down, bend over, walk, stand, you name it.  I’m definitely looking forward to being able to move around a little more easily again one day soon.

Movement/Symptoms: Molly is still as active as ever which is good, but now we’re just playing the waiting game.  At my appointment this past Wednesday, I was 1 cm dilated.  You can sit there for weeks, though, so no sign of real progress.  I’m interested to see if we’ve moved any further along at my next appointment in a couple of days.  Fingers crossed!

Cravings: Still sweets – had some yummy pistachio and strawberry gelato last night that hit the spot!

Looking forward to: Meeting Molly June very very soon!!

In the meantime, here are some pics of the 98% complete nursery.  I am so happy with how it is coming together!  The lighting is weird in some of the pictures, but the walls are really more of a mint green like in the last picture with the book shelves.

My sister painted that fabulous canvas print after I spotted it on Etsy and it was sold out. I love it and love that Molly will have a piece of her Aunt Kitty in her room!
